On the consultation visit we will get the measurements and understand the scope of the project. We will also bring along samples to help with ideas that you may want to consider.
After the consultation visit we will put together a quote sheet for you. Quotes are normally provided within 2 business days.
Once you approve the quote, we will start to work on your samples. We will present up to four samples in order to match what you are looking for.
As soon the sample is approved, we will have it signed and dated by you.
At this point the contract gets in place.
We will send you an electronic copy at your preference (e-mail or what's App) for your signature. Your quote is valid for 30 days.
Payment:
1) 150.00 up front for the samples.
2) 1/3 of the total price at the contract signature.
3) 2/3 on the day that the art creation starts.
4) 3/3 on the installation day (if done in the studio) or on the day that the finished coat is completed (on site).
The design can be done on site or in our studio.
Here are some options:
-Refinish done on site over the existent countertop
-Existent countertop taken off and dropped off to our studio
-New countertop built and refinished in our studio and installed after it's fully cured ( up to 15 days).
We will use Epoxy Resin and all the additives compatible with it.
The brand we use will depend of the kind of design we create.
For those who choose to have the kitchen and/or bathroom countertops done on site, keep in mind that you will need to make sure that the sink is removed a day before our arrival to start the art work. It is also recommended that it be left out of the new countertop at least one week before it gets re-installed. (We can provide someone if needed for this service)
The process also involves preparation of the area (covering cabinets with tape and plastic) to protect the furniture which will receive the resin art. We also protect the floors where we will be working.
Minor sanding is a part of the preparation process. Some dust will be produced but we will do our best to keep it to a minimum. Most will be contained to the working area.
Also note that it is important to have a clean environment during the curing process.
When prepared In our location, we have full control of the elements like ideal temperature for art work and for the cure, as well as controlling dust and other things that can lay on top of the resin while it is wet such as dust, animals, pet hair, bugs etc.
If you are interested in being part of the creation, let us know. We will inform you when your project is scheduled so you can stop by the shop.
Furniture can also be done on site, in a temperature controlled garage or basement but it's always preferable to be dropped off in our studio.
Epoxy resin takes up 30 days to be fully cured and hardened, however it is dry to the touch in 24 hours and can be ready for light use in 15 days.
To ensure the best quality end product, we recommend that you consider these times in your schedule in order to have it ready to use or to have it delivered/installed when its fully cured.
Again, you can have the art done in our studio and we will keep it there until it is ready for you to use and ready to be installed.
If you chose to have your surface done at our studio, we will contact you when it is ready to install.
We will work with your schedule to have it installed and ready for you to enjoy your new functional art.
